Founder's Operations Self-Audit Checklist

This is the preview version of the checklist. Use it to see where the company is still held together by founder bandwidth, weak handoffs, or a stack that adds more drag than leverage.

Founder dependence

  • If you stepped away for a week, what decisions would stall immediately?
  • Which recurring tasks still depend on your memory rather than a visible system?
  • What work bounces back to you because nobody is sure who owns it?
  • Where do clients or team members still need you to translate expectations personally?

Delivery and handoffs

  • Where are projects most likely to stall or get dropped?
  • What handoff between departments creates the most confusion?
  • Can a new hire see how work moves from start to finish without asking five people?
  • What part of delivery gets messiest when sales volume increases?

Technology and AI leverage

  • Which reports are still assembled manually every week?
  • What tools overlap, confuse the team, or create duplicate work?
  • Where would AI remove repetitive effort without creating more noise?
  • Who owns adoption when a new system gets introduced?

Leadership cadence

  • Do your meetings make ownership clearer or just create more updates?
  • Can leaders name the top three operating bottlenecks without guessing?
  • Is hiring solving pressure or just spreading confusion?
  • What metric would tell you first that execution is slipping next month?

Want Me to Walk Through This With You?

If this checklist surfaced real operating drag, the best next step is a 30-minute consultation. I'll help you identify what matters most, what can wait, and what I would build first.

No pitch. You'll leave with 2-3 concrete things to act on this week whether we work together or not.
